Before they were selling out theaters and earning the devotion of the jam and folk underground, the Felice Brothers were busking in New York City subway stations, and that scrappy, nothing-to-lose spirit never left them. Their self-titled record arrived as a kind of bulletin from the margins, the sound of brothers who grew up in the Catskills absorbing Dylan, old country, and carnival music in equal measure.
The Felice Brothers' self-titled second album - and major label debut - is a ragged and exuberant record that captures the spirit of a band steeped in American folk traditions while sounding completely their own. Released in 2008, the album blends folk, country, Americana, and roots rock with a loose, back-porch energy that feels both timeless and spontaneous - introducing The Felice Brothers as one of the most distinctive voices in modern Americana in the process, balancing old-time folk influences with a wild, unpredictable imagination. Featuring ""Whiskey in My Whiskey"", ""Radio Song"" and ""Frankie's Gun!"" (Their biggest hit) the album is filled with vivid characters, dark humour, and weathered storytelling, while accordion, fiddle, piano, and rough-hewn harmonies give the record it's unmistakable Catskills charm. Out of print on vinyl since it's initial 2008 release, The Felice Brothers is presented on special edition Silver vinyl. The band are appearing at UK festivals throughout August and September https://www. Thefelicebrothers. com/tour/
