Chicago's The Academy Is... captured a specific moment in mid-2000s pop-punk with sharp precision, and *Fast Times at Barrington High* remains the high-water mark of their run on Fueled by Ramen. Frontman William Beckett's melodic instincts were at their most focused here, and the album's themes of youth, nostalgia, and growing up have only resonated deeper with the fans who grew up alongside it.
