Released just months after their debut, *Eyes Like the Sky* showed a band already restless enough to abandon straightforward rock for a cinematic, dusty-road concept built around narration and atmosphere. The Broderick Smith connection runs deep in Australian rock history, threading a direct line between the '70s pub rock scene and Melbourne's psychedelic underground. This pressing makes that strange artifact even more collectible.
Eyes Like the Sky is the second studio album by Australian rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. It was released in February 2013 and has been described as a ""cult western audio book"". The album is narrated and written by Broderick Smith, the frontman for the 1970s Australian rock group The Dingoes and the father of King Gizzard keyboardist Ambrose Kenny-Smith. These records have been sustainably made via injection mold technology and are made from PET plastic (the same plastic as water bottles).
